EVENT MARKETING
GETTING UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL.
There truly is no better way to get insightful feedback from your target audience than via personal interactions. Digital and online promotion have fast become the principal method to influence modern consumers on mass, but nothing can replace meaningful dialogue within a target rich environment when it comes to building advocacy. Good old fashioned conversations build trust. In its most effective form, event marketing is both convincing and interactive, creating an emotional experience for the consumer and enabling unique opportunities to leverage targeted market intelligence. And while digital media engenders data and measurable impressions, event marketing communicates the key messages, personality, and credibility of your organization in an environment that you create, and that you control.
RISE Creative specializes in identifying and creating targeted event marketing opportunities that combine multiple elements. We can often find the means to offset costs and overheads through collaborations, and opportunities to sell and promote products within the wider realm of the virtual, and physical event. We have experience pitching to, and managing VIP's and senior company stakeholders, and we consider every opportunity to deliver effective communication throughout the planning, deployment and post-event window. Every single element of your event is optimized to maximize your opportunity and deliver added value.

CASE STUDY :: House of Vans London - Haro Bikes book launch
When two legendary brands with a similar vision, and a similar story, collaborate, the potential rewards are usually formidable. Haro Bikes and Vans Footwear have been working in the same space for over thirty years. Vans' story in Action Sport's is glorious and unrivaled in the apparel and footwear lifestyle markets. Haro's pioneering story and market leadership position in BMX provides opportunities that other less established brands can only dream of. Vans and Haro speak to the same demographic in their efforts to grow and prosper and both brands capitalize on their legacy by offering retrospective and vintage inspired products to their global followers.
In 2012, I researched, wrote and published the second installment of the Haro Bikes story - The Rise of BMX Freestyle Vol.2. In an effort to broaden the promotional reach of the project, I approached the Vans USA Marketing department with a proposal to utilize their "House of Vans" venue in South London for the official European book launch. A collaborative approach to marketing the event rallied the Action Sports community, with retired, and contemporary Professional BMX Riders including Mat Hoffman, Dennis McCoy and Matthias Dandois attending as VIP Guests, and fans traveling from destinations across Europe in support of the celebration. On a chilly December evening, on the south bank of the river Thames, Rise Creative orchestrated and delivered a memorable and fitting tribute to Haro's unique history. We filled the venue to its capacity and sold a ton of books. Many of those who attended and populated our event database have become legacy customers for Haro, and the two companies continue to collaborate on a variety of successful, dual-branded, product releases.

CASE STUDY :: EROICA CALIFORNIA 2016 - Masi BiKES BRAND RECONNECTION
Historical projects are often overlooked for their commercial and brand building attributes. In support of the Masi Legacy Project, I negotiated a brand presence and sponsorship package for Masi at the dedicated vintage cycling Event; Eroica California. RISE Creative undertook every aspect of the event planning, delivery and logistics, including budgeting, creative design, stakeholder negotiation and asset creation. In collaboration with Eroica CA, Dominic brought Hollywood actor Dennis Christopher to the event as a special guest of Masi. Dennis hosted a private screening of the movie "Breaking Away" at a local movie theater, drawing a sizable attendance and healthy financial contributions in aid of the event charity benefactor; The Hospice of San Luis Obispo. Our pre and post event promotion brought a sizable response from the vintage bicycle community. The Masi Social Media channels swelled, and coverage in the mainstream press was beyond expectation. In preparation, RISE Creative designed a range of authentic "vintage inspired" apparel, enabling Masi to offset a percentage of the event overhead through on site, and post event sales. Eroica represented a moment of re-engagement for Masi as we proactively faced-up to the largest gathering of bicycle history enthusiasts in North America.
